I discovered sophrology completely by chance when I was waiting at a reception.
Being of Asian origin, born in Malaysia with a multicultural background and having lived in different countries for the last 20 years, I was immediately drawn to the mix of Eastern philosophy and Western medicine in Sophrology.
When I saw the quote from Dr Caycedo: "Any positive action directed at one part of the consciousness has a positive impact on the whole being." - It seemed so right. I was hooked.
I started researching. The more I read about sophrology, the more interested I became. I then enrolled in the School of Caycedian Sophrology in Grenoble to further deepen these discoveries. I studied Caycedian sophrology because it is sophrology in its truest form.
The more I learned, the more I am convinced that it is the best approach (in the world, for my part) that can be practiced in all types of life situations. I believe that in order to overcome all obstacles, one must be positive. Negative begets negative.
Try smiling at a stranger and see the reaction you get.
And now try to be hostile to a stranger, what happens now?
The wonder of sophrology is that we don't ask you to try to be positive. We guide you to see the positive aspects for you to feel that feeling. You get positive without trying to be positive. You are, simply because you experience it.
I decided to practice sophrology professionally so that I could bring more to others.
I continue to follow trainings in order to deepen my knowledge and to specialise in different fields.
