Why is it recommended to start with three sessions?
In sophrology, it is recommended to start with 3 sessions as a base. The first 3 sessions are a progression - discovery, appropriation and transformation.
Indeed, when we begin sophrology for the first time, we live it in the sense of discovery. We get to know the techniques, the sophrologist and the environment. We can be curious and we can also seek to do well.
During the second session, we are in appropriation. We are a little more comfortable as a feeling of familiarity sets in. We are becoming more experimental and adapting to the techniques offered. We are more aware of our body and our sensations and are better able to express our feelings in more specific ways.
In the third session, we move on to transformation. We master the techniques and we integrate our body and our sensations into the practice. We begin to understand, to be present to ourselves, and to be able to let go and enjoy. With that comes transformation.

Sophrology a training?
Sophrology is a personal training that is aimed at anyone wishing to know themselves better and develop a serene and positive consciousness. It is aimed at both children and adults.
Each stage of the practice has its own objectives and consists of a series of exercises based on concentration, imagination and contemplation. Some exercises use the five senses to develop contemplative awareness, which leads us to be more aware of the present moment. Other techniques use the imagination to help positively anticipate the future and bring out positive feelings from the past.
During the sessions, the person will learn to become more aware of themselves, to be “subject” of their body and their mind; she will gradually take the reins of her life, moving away from automatisms and conditioning, from the tyranny of materialism and daily urgency.
From a bodily point of view, these exercises awaken feelings of vitality and help release tension. They provide a feeling of serenity, of physical and mental well-being which will allow you to get out of the state of permanent stress.
At the mental level, they activate the concentration, the lucidity and the creativity of the individual, thus allowing him to escape from the daily preoccupations.
The positive effects of sophrology
Regular practice will help channel negative emotions and take care of awakening positive emotions. This training will gradually tend towards the conquest of a different way of "being in the world", towards a mutation of ordinary consciousness into a harmonious and positive consciousness. An existence full of vitality which will be characterized by a positive attitude of the individual, towards himself and towards the surrounding world.
The regular practice of Sophrology thus allows everyone to optimize their capacities and their effectiveness on a daily basis.
